Where to find gacha in Kumamoto and Kagoshima
In both cities, the gacha shops and arcades are in the downtown shopping arcades rather than at the main station, and a streetcar connects the two. Each link opens a map and a list with addresses and opening hours. For Fukuoka, see where to find gacha in Fukuoka.
Kumamoto: Shimotori and Sakuramachi
The covered Shimotori arcade is the center. Gachagacha no Mori is on the 2nd floor of Carino Shimotori, Capsule Park is in COCOSA, and Taito Station has two arcades plus a Gachaste gacha shop. #C-pla is in HAB@Kumamoto where Shimotori meets Kamitori. A few minutes west, the Sakuramachi Kumamoto mall above the bus terminal has a Gashapon Bandai Official Shop and a namco arcade on the 3rd floor, on the way to Kumamoto Castle.
At Kumamoto Station, AMU Plaza Kumamoto has #C-pla and a GiGO arcade, if you only have time before a train.
Kagoshima: Tenmonkan
Tenmonkan is Kagoshima's main shopping and nightlife district. Gachagacha no Mori is on the 2nd floor of Centerrace Tenmonkan, and there is a Gashapon Bandai Official Shop at Surugaya Tenmonkan. For crane games, there are arcades from Third Planet and Family Land Pony.
At Kagoshima-Chuo Station, AMU Plaza Kagoshima has #C-pla, and a Taito Station arcade on the 6th floor.
Tips
- The streetcar takes about 10 to 15 minutes from Kumamoto Station to Shimotori, and about 10 minutes from Kagoshima-Chuo Station to Tenmonkan.
- Shops inside malls close with the building, usually at 8 or 9 pm. Arcades stay open later.
