About Gacha Guide Japan
Gacha Guide Japan is a guide for visitors to Japan who want to find capsule toys (gacha) and crane game prizes, and the shops and arcades where they can play. It covers 3,412 items and 4,253 places from 124 chains.
Where the information comes from
- Items: the official websites of the makers (Bandai, Takara Tomy A.R.T.S, Kitan Club, Kenelephant, Banpresto, FuRyu) and Bandai Namco Amusement's list of prizes for its arcades. We check for new items every day.
- Shops and arcades: the official store lists of each chain. We update them every week. Some locations are placed on the map from their address, so a pin can be slightly off.
- Which arcades carry a prize: for FuRyu prizes and prizes sent to namco arcades, the official store lists published by FuRyu and Bandai Namco Amusement. Each item page shows when we last checked.
- Translations: item names are translated with AI and checked for consistency with official names. If a name looks wrong, please tell us.
What we can and cannot tell you
- Release date is not stock. "Released" means the item has come out. Shops and arcades change their lineups often, and popular items sell out. Crane game prizes usually rotate out within weeks to a few months.
- "Confirmed" vs "likely". When an official list says an arcade carries a prize, we mark it as confirmed. When there is no such list (most capsule toys), we show the shops most likely to carry it, such as the maker's own shops and large gacha shops. That is a guide, not a guarantee.
- Opening hours and closures come from the chains' lists and can change. Check before you go.
